Using SafePass

Devices and Protection

Understand how SafePass handles multiple devices and active protection.

SafePass protection is associated with your account but activated on a specific device. Your SafePass account can be used on multiple devices, but only one device can have active protection at a time.

One Active Protected Device

When you log in to SafePass on a device, that device becomes the currently protected device. If you later log in on another device, the newly logged-in device becomes the active protected device. Protection on the previously active device becomes inactive after a short period.

Your Account Works Across Devices

You do not need to create a separate SafePass account for each device. Once your account has completed the initial behavior learning and SafePass has created your behavioral model, the same account and model can be used on any supported device where you log in.

This means that SafePass protection is not permanently tied to the device where you first completed activation. You can install SafePass and log in on another supported device, and SafePass can use your existing behavioral model to provide protection there.

Switching Between Devices

If you use SafePass on multiple devices, remember that only the most recently logged-in device is actively protected. When you move to another device and sign in, SafePass automatically transfers active protection to that device. There is no need to create or retrain your account's behavioral model for each device.
